Do you remember how cool it sounded when you put a baseball card in your bike spokes? We all wished we had a little 2-stroke motorcycle, but all Dad could afford was this lame single-speed Schwinn. Well, like everything back in the 70s and 80s, that 'lame' bike of yours is still kicking–and is probably the most well-made thing you own!

Back when we were kids, you could buy something and, if you took good care of it, it would last you forever. Nowadays, everything's crumbling within a year and even the cars are made of plastic! But at least some of us got to enjoy the good ol' analog days of our childhood when we could disappear for an afternoon and ride our bikes with our neighborhood buddies without a care in the world apart from which convenience store we were going to stop at for a bag of penny candy.
